  • Comments: This was basically an experiment to see what lip synching was like. Surprisingly, it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. This project didn't take that long... probably about six or seven hours total. I randomly picked a Brak song out of my collection, popped a Sailormoon tape into my VCR, and started capturing.

    My technique is pretty simple. I copy and paste the frames to make them talk the way I want them too, if their mouths don't match the words already. This is kind of obvious in one scene, where Minako has sparkles around her eyes and the sparkles stop sparkling when she stops talking. LOL.

    The one thing I really hate about the video is that my footage was subtitled, so I had to use black bars. This cuts off Seiya's head in one scene, and Minako and Rei's mouths in another. It really bugs me, but I there's really nothing I can do until I actually get some RAW footage.

    Anyway, as far the lip synching goes, I think it's pretty good for a first attempt. I'm quite proud. ^.^;; Future projects will be better, though.
