  Anyway.
  
  I'd wanted to do a Faust-centric vid for quite a while. I think he's one of the most sympathetic villains in anime, as he's bound to the memories of all those who came before him - no matter what he strives for, no matter what he wants, he can't escape from who he used to be. That tragedy forms the basis for his growth over the course of the series, and I wanted to try to capture that in an AMV.
  
  Granted, there's only so much you can get in three minutes. I decided to leave out the history and the parts dealing with Lorelei, to focus on Faust in the present, and show how his treatment of the Saber Dolls and the memories that were forced upon him eventually cause reality to come crashing down upon him. When the Imperial March came up one day in my playlist, I knew I'd found the song for it.
  
  Unfortunately, due to computer problems, the video quality isn't as good as I'd like it to be, and I apologize for that. I had a major crash due to spyware, and when I was up and running again, the version of Premiere I'd been using would no longer function. While I acquired a new version from a friend, the Premiere file with this vid didn't quite work right with it. So my options were to either completely remake the video or to release it as it was. I went with the latter, as it'd be less frustrating and leave me free to move on to the next project.
  
  So, yes. Again, I apologize for the lack of visual quality; it's not like you can't tell what's going on but it's not as good as I wanted it to be. However, the content is exactly what I want it to be, and I believe that stands on its own.

It's an alternate telling, wherein Faust the Tenth does not receive the memories of those who came before him. What changes? Oh, just about everything...
