    My name is Wes Whitaker, and I'll be your host. ;)
    As the name implies, "CRP" focuses on classic rock and pop from the 70's and 80's, with an emphasis on visual and audio quality, and the minimal use of special effects. My usual goal is to create vids with a coherent storyline that also synchs up with the lyrics from the song. By this I mean that you can turn off the sound, and the vid will play out like a silent movie. This isn't always the case, but this is the philosophy from which I work.
    Though I chose Classic Rock as my studio name, I plan on making a wide variety of vids, including all major categories except Dance. I also use pop and soft-rock tunes, as well as a few instrumentals.
    I generally try to keep scene disruption and discontinuity to a minimum, and I try to avoid using gimmicky techniques like strobe effects, which I find distracting and often annoying. The perfect vid for me would be one in which you never notice the edits. I want it to seem as if they were there to begin with. If you were to look at my editor timeline, my vids would be about as chopped up as anyone else's, but I try to piece the clips together so that they seem like they are together naturally, when in fact they may be from different episodes.
    My vids also have a distinct structure, incorporating styles commonly used in movies. These include floating titles and credits, the use of audio from the vid's anime during the vid, and prologue and epilogue segments before and/or after the song has ended. A given CRP vid might not contain all of these attributes, but it will most likely contain at least some. Therefore, whenever you watch a CRP vid, remember to stay until it's completely over, since those epilogues can serve to tie up the vid emotionally.
    So, in short, my aim is to produce vids that are enjoyable both musically and visually without tiring the viewer out with hyper-editing or the use of unneeded effects.
    Btw, I have been composing these vids in my head since 2006, which is one reason I can get them out faster than the average editor. (I had to wait until now to make them because of some medical problems.)
    CRP vids will normally be dvd rips, unless it's unavailable in the U.S., or some discontinued Geneon title that's not available through Netflix.
