Need help on compilation AMV

So I'm working on a pretty ambitious project for my first AMV. It's a 60fps 480p compilation AMV set to Into The Dark (Ferry Fix) by Ferry Corsten. There are some really intense effects I want to add to this but I'm not quite sure how I'm supposed to do them.

The first effect I want to implement is a Audio Spectrum overlaid an anime clip. The closest example i could think of would be the music video for Justin Timberlake's LoveStone/I Think She Knows
