uploading with filezilla problem

Post by smellpoo » Mon May 03, 2010 6:18 pm

I can log in fine and i followed the guide but every time i drag my video for it to start transferring it will only go from 0.1% to 0.6% and this will keep happening with no further progress no matter how long its in queued file section. Then if i try removing it and retrying it, it will automatically go into the failed transfer section. The video works fine too. Any help?

what's your ISP, up speed, and are you following the guide exactly? if so try again later. Might just be down now.

i mean your isp up speed, my up speed is around 768k max and I have 3mbps, go to speedtest.net, if your upspeed is under 384kbps, you might be timing out. You can always upload to megaupload or personal hosting, in fact if you can't get ftp to work, try megaupload. Since you are using ftp, I assume you have a completed AMV, you can always upload to local later, but for now you can make an announcement with an indirect link.

Yeah I guess i'll try uploading local later and take your advice and just upload it indirectly for now. Thanks

It's more likely a firewall or port blocking issue than anything else... Have any 3rd party firewalls installed? What OS are you running?

since I never use a firewall I kind of forgot about it. My router has every port open both UDP and TCP incoming and outgoing and no firewall installed at all. This way I can use bittorrent without having to port forward. Also so I can randomize bittorrent port.
