Anime To Fit Within Temptations Song: What Have You Done

Alright, I've wanted to an AMV with this song forever, but I'm not very well versed in anime. The only anime that really loosely fits it that I know is DBZ, but that's a really loose fit. I want an anime that perfectly fits the idea of someone building up the trust of another character until the point where they are good friends and then having it ripped away.

Again, the song is What Have You Done by Within Temptation.

Really any anime, could fit this song, depending on how it executed.
As an anime suggestion I suppose the Samurai X OVA's could fit on a lyrical level. I'm kind of short on ideas of these types of song/anime combination's.

I had been planning out a AMV with this song for a while now..........but I don't think that I will ever get around to editing it. If you like it, feel free to use it.

NOTE: Before you can even start this AMV, you would have to watch every single episode of "When they Cry (Higurashi)" and "When they cry (Umineko)". Higurashi has 2 seasons and 6 OVAs. Umineko has 1 season out so far. Also, you should read the wikipedia page of both series in order to understand the connections between them. This AMV idea requires you to know absolutely everything about the two series.

Also, in order to portray this story, you would probably need to use the extended version of the song.

Anime: When They Cry (Higurashi), When They Cry (Umineko)

concepts/ story: (Umineko) Beatrice is turning Battler's world upside down and killing his family members one by one. Battler seems to love her, but he can't forgive her for what she is doing. Battler tries to get help from Bernkastel in order to defeat her, but Lambdadelta joins the side of Beatrice. (Higurashi) Meanwhile, Rika is being forced to watch her best friends murder each other over and over again due to the actions of Takano. Rika's hatred of Takano should be shown, and possibly a scene where Takano tries to murder her. You could use scenes in where Rika learns that Keiichi is the only person that can help her win against Takano.

As the two stories play out, there should be a scene where Rika and Bernkastel are shown together (by using a masking effect/ overlay or cross fade). Since they look exactly alike, the viewer will be able to see that they are actually the same person. Then a similar scene should be made with Lambdadelta and Takano in order to show that they are the same person.

Comparisons:
Lambdadelta = Takano
Bernkastel = Rika

Battler and Rika are both trying to change their fate, but Beatrice and Takano are proving to be strong opponents. It should be implied that Rika became Bernkastel in order to cross worlds and join forces with Battler (even though that isn't true). If you use good scene selection, you may be able to make it look like Battler and Keiichi are the same person (even though they aren't). They have similar hair though. If you pull this off, it will look like Rika crossed over to Battler's world in order help him, and Battler crossed over to her world in order to return the favor.
