I'm sorry, I was even THERE and didn't go to the awards ceremony because my video had no! chance! in! hell! ever!!! (Not in a bitter way, just because I figured I could look up the winners later.)

Now I feel like a chump. So, I'm sorry about that; my bad.

The lineup was good, though. After Bashar's AMV finished blowing what was left of everyone's mind after Judge's AMV, mine looked like a ball of fail from 1997. I particularly liked the counterpoint in the Action section with the Pretty Girls Blow Shit Up video followed immediately by the Pretty Boys Blow Shit Up video. I could go into all that male gaze / female gaze hoopla, but I'll spare ya. It was a nifty moment.

Maybe next year I'll be annoying enough to barge on in and watch a block up there. I hope that's OK. I hear the theater is pretty nice.

The same thing happened at Sakura-Con...Judge Holden's and my vids were back to back - gender-specific fanservice. It was an interesting juxtaposition.
