I have too many ideas...

See, whenever I get an idea for an AMV, I spend a few days listening to the song and envision the video in my mind, and get all excited thinking about what the finished video will look like, but usually when I'm halfway through an awesome video I get another great idea, and decide to make that one instead, and it goes on like that for a while. And when I have a lot of good ideas at round about the same time, I spend ages trying to decide which one to do first and end up making nothing for weeks on end. So now I have about 10 AMVs I've forgotten to finish because of all these ideas floating around in my brain. I think the problem is that I'm TOO motivated...
Anyone else have similar problems, or is it just me?

I have the perfect solution. Stop listening to any music except the track you'll be using until you've finished your video. Either that, or every time a new idea pops into your head think about everything that could possibly be wrong with it, and all the ways it's going to fail miserably so that you don't get excited about it and rush into the project. You can come back to it later when you're done with the first one

make "concept" vids with ~30 sec cuts of your music and just have a lot of fun nailing the idea you're feeling while your inspirations fresh. flesh it out later if you feel like it

^ This. I write down every idea I get (that I think could actually work, anyway). I have about 3 or 4 AMVs started that I haven't finished yet, but every time I look at my list, I remember them and might work on them a little more.

Maybe I could do a big compilation thingy of them all. I'll have to think about that.
