song for asuma and shikamaru

I want to make an AMV that depicts asumas death but I can't pinpoint the song I need. I would like the song to be like the death of a parent/father. Ideally I will include the fight between him and Hidan but that needs to be charged with lyrics or action music. The music video will revolve around Shikamaru's perspective of who asuma was to him.

That's a hard topic to find a song for. Most songs that deal with death focus on a lover/significant other, which would sound odd in this situation. The closest thing I can think of is What's Left of the Flag by Flogging Molly, but I doubt that's the sort of thing you had in mind.
