It definitely was a great contest - and, yes, there were quite a lot of Death Note vids. I was honestly surprised. I couldn't just cut them though, I did pay attention to quality when it came to putting the contest's final list together.

I think part of the reason is because it's hot right now with the discs having been recently released in North Amercia, and the fact that it's just a popular series period.

*I* like using it because, like Azumanga Daioh before it, it seems very adaptable to many different sorts of amv's. And I know for me personally, there's something about the seriousness of Light that just makes me want to mess with him.

I have ideas, but by the time <strike>bandai</strike> Viz finishes releasing the series, I'm sure newbs with fansubs will have destroyed my want to use it.

I've given the shipping addresses to our conchair who's going to pack the trophy boxes up into larger boxes and ship them out "soon."

I was at the con-chair's place and was told they were going to be shipped on the 1st of November. I haven't heard anything about it since then. I will try to figure it all out though.

EDIT: Apparently they all got sent out this past weekend (the 15th I believe) because of some ongoing transportation problems. If you'd be so kind as to respond when you get them and/or post pics it'd be great.
