How do you guys organize your AMVs?

Post by MusoukaProductions » Sat Jul 26, 2008 1:41 am

I finally downloaded enough AMVs that I need to start organizing them. However, I'm kind of not sure how I should do it so I'm looking for ideas. The only folder I have right now is "MEP" which only has a few AMVs in it. Genre maybe?

This topic was made before, And i'll say the same thing I did then. I have the my "Stuff I keep" Folder and I have my "Recycle Bin" and the "stuff I keep" folder doesn't have to many in it.

I organize them by amvs I promised to op, and everything else. Eventually they hit the third organization group: amvs on a DVD because I need to make space.

I don't :uhoh:
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I download everything to my desktop, if I like one then I move it to a folder on my desktop for amvs, about once every other month I go through that folder and rewatch them, if I decide to keep them I move them to the permanent hd where I have 3 folders and I sort by how much I enjoyed them. This wouldnt help any one other then me find what im looking for, because when I think of a specific amv the first thing I remember is how much I liked it so ill automatically know which folder its going to be in. Other then the 3 folders for basic amvs I have a separate one for my own, and another one for meps, though theres really only 3 or so meps iv decided to keep.

I organize them by year that way I can semi-close many of the folders. like I doubt I'm gonna find TOO many gems from 2003 or before 5 years later. So I can archive them all. Without ever thinking about them again :x

i have an amv folder in which i put all the amvs i download, once i start running out of memory i go through it and delete all the amvs i dont recognize, if they didnt leave enough of a lasting impression on my to remember their names then they get moved to the recycling bin.

I have two folders for amvs on my hard drive: "Videos I made" and "crap". Guess which folder your videos go into?
