Just wondering, how much does everyone here truly give a damn about which people actually market the anime?
Put another way, you turn on an anime, and several names/labels whatever wander past. Do you really pay attention to them? Could you care less who made the anime product so long as the anime product was acceptable?
Due you have any name loyalty?
Myself, not really actually. I want it sold in North America, but I really don't give a damn who does it, so long as someone does it.
I won't buy it if it's massively over priced. If I have to settle with watching a sub copy so be it. Not the end of the world.
I won't buy it if it's not sold in box sets so I don't have to ponder if I will be able to get the entire season(s). I'm not going to buy a portion of a series, and then find the owners buggered off part way.
I won't buy any anime dubbed in a way that it makes my ears bleed (Sailormoon season 3 is a good example of a bad dub).
But otherwise, I don't care who does it.
If ADV rolls over and dies, who cares, so long as someone fills that hole.
I like Pioneer, but they can be expensive.
I don't mind thin case. Frankly small is nice.
I've generally decided to buy an anime AFTER having watched the sub first.
I never buy anime without already having seen it first in sub.
So it doesn't interest me who bought the rights and is selling it on dvd.
Just so long as someone does.
And so long as they meet my pre conditions too.

Anime, one of the few things about the internet that doesn't make me hate the internet.

And while I don't care to the point of worrying about "loyalty", I do care somewhat weather or not big companys like ADV die, because if say... funimation gets a monopoly; There'll be no competition to keep prices down.
