General Information

I love the album of Strain by Flesh Field and I want to make something worthy of the album.
At first I was going to do it alone but it's too much work, so I'd like to get the Flesh Field fans together to make this project.

Please don't join the project if you're just bored and have nothing else to do. Do it because you love Flesh Field and you've got a good idea for what you want to do.
If there aren't enough people or the work doesn't reach my espectations I'll end up finishing it myself.

This is industrial, it would be good if you understood that and used industrial/cyberpunk anime/videogame. (Final Fantasy, Ergo Proxy, Ghost in the Shell, Aplessed Movie, Metal Gear Solid, Galerians, KARAS, etc). Express what the music makes you feel and try and do it the best you can.

I'd like to tell you not to use animes out of the industrial theme, or overused anime like Bleach and Naruto, but I trust that the no-original can be turned, if you work on it and focus it well, into something original. We are editors, we can do anything we propose ourselves.

I mean to send the video to Ian Ross if it was possible, so I hope you put a lot of effort into it. Don't worry, he's not one of those rich guys sick about intelectual propierty, he does it for love to art, so I doubt he'd complain about using his music for this video made by and for fans.

Examples of good using of Flesh Field

You can get inspired by that.

I cut the songs taking advantage of the parts I consider the best. I put the songs together so that the change isn't very obvious and taking account of the style of the songs. As you can see it says Beta Final, there may be small changes in the future, but I don't think they will be very important, only to make it more fluid.

[Ian Ross]
Your face is always clear.
It's not difficult to see you.
To me you're just a mirror,
Reflecting whom I always knew.

You're not the only one who's afraid of the world outside.
You're not the only one who's given in to fear and tried to hide.
My hands are bleeding from the digging, and the building of
New barriers and walls that keep me safe from all that I once loved.

Lyric:

[Ian Ross]
I destroyed you to protect you
From all the things I never want to be.
I ruined you so I could ruin me.
No guilt, no sympathy for me.

[Wendy Yanko]
Self destruction never seemed so beautiful.
Anesthesia only hides what won’t die.

[Ian Ross]
I've never climbed so high.
But I only have further to fall.
I never asked myself why.
I never gave it any thought at all.

I destroyed you to protect you
From all the things I never want to be.
I ruined you so I could ruin me.
No guilt, no sympathy for me.

I need to separate, to divide,
Before I take you down with me.
Perhaps I’m too sick to pray,
Or not sick enough to.
It’s too late for me.

Segment: 11:48 - 12:21
Duration: 00:32
Editor: Undeadborn
Anime: Final Fantasy Versus XIII

Lyric:

[Wendy Yanko]
I knew what you would say about me,
So I grew a thick skin that you couldn’t see right through.
Yours aren’t words to extol,
So fuck you.
I’m not yours to control.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Track 12

Duration: 01:36
Editor: FREE

Interested Editors:
Dark Seraphim - GITS 2nd Movie
Neverend - Animatrix

Lyric:

[Wendy Yanko]
They followed you and they complied
With your plans for preemption.
When will you give up the lie
And state your true intentions?

[Ian Ross]
So just give in,
And follow the drones.
A nation of consumption
Shouldn’t challenge its role.
Just believe, and fall in line.
Freedom is a privilege
That’s been left behind.

How far will it go?
When will you be satisfied?
This rising toll
Can never be justified.
Stop.
The vein is collapsing.
This wound just never seems to mend.
Stop.
The blood you’re spilling
Will choke you in the end.

Duration: 00:42
Editor: FREE

Interested Editors:
LeapofFate - Unknown Anime

Lyric:

[Ian Ross]
A silhouette, a shell.
No, what you knew was not me.
A façade, a charade.
Now can you see more clearly?

[Wendy Yanko]
Everything is gone.
I can’t feel anymore.
And now I can expose you for everything you are.

[Ian Ross]
I am perversion and decay.
I am hatred and greed.
I am everything I hid from you.
Now tell me, do you like what you see?

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Track 14
Name: Epiphany (2nd Part)

Kevmaster - Unknown Anime

Lyric:

[Ian Ross]
I can never save you.
I can never take your hand.
I’ve learned to accept this.
I’ve forgotten you and your sickness.
And I don’t miss a thing about you.

I don’t know you,
And I don’t want to
If you’re everything that I’ve seen.
You won’t listen,
Or be forgiven,
Before you lose everything you are.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Track 15
Name: This Broken Dream
Segment: 15:43 - 18:13
Duration: 02:30
Editor: FREE
Anime:

Interested Editors:
Ryko89 - Unknown Anime
Kevmaster - Unknown Anime

Lyric:

[Ian Ross]
I did what I thought was right,
And they came to hate me.
I looked to you for comfort,
And your look broke me.

I was forced into this by pride.
(And forced out by the same.)
I will admit some regret.
(But confess no shame.)
I only wanted a release.
(But I never wanted this.)
I should have foreseen.
(What I will now never miss.)

[Wendy Yanko]
I stood there, humble,
And I bore my soul to them.
I told them everything,
And they laughed and they condemned
Everything I was and everything I’d ever loved.
I tried so hard to make them proud of what I had become.

[Ian Ross]
My only crime was existing.
For that I was thrown away.
They’ll never love someone like me.

[Wendy Yanko]
I came to you for solace,
And you turned me away.
So here I am alone again.

Since I'm not really well known, and not the best... Do I have to send you a beta of something I could do? 'Cause I'm digging track 3.

I would love to do track 4 with Kino's Journey. It's not really industrial/cyberpunk anime/videogame but I think that it wouldn't look strange or odd in the MEP. If you can't find anyone for track 4 using industrial anime then I'll do it.

That's a stupid question. Any MEP coordinator with any sense would take the better of 2 tracks to fill a spot no matter what...

I wanted to confirm before I started, because if no then I'd be wasting my time.
