10 years from now

Post by superspike » Thu Jan 09, 2003 7:39 pm

in 10 years do you think that you will still just as in to anime as you are now? Me, i think I will still watch it but I most likely wont be on the net talking about it to unknown people. I KNOW I will still be drawing it though becouse I dont eeven notice that Im drawing it until someone says it anime. Again, in 10 years do you think that you will still just as in to anime as you are now? Serious.

There's not really any way to know, but I will never NOT like the ones I already do. But if new animes become shitty then I will stop.

likewise, go look for stand alone complex, or FLCL. those are a few good new animes, so is azumanga daioh

In ten years, I will be even more into anime than I am now, mainly because by then I will have watched the first episode of Nadesico.

Seeing as I have loved animation since childhood, and I still am amazed by it's ability to defy reality as we know it and take us into new realms of the imagination, realms where demons roam the earth and a young child can be the savior of reality, where a simple trinket can hold unimaginable power, magic is a reality, and where starships and wizards co-exist, I highly doubt I will ever stop loving animation; and since anime is some of the best animation I have yet to run into, full of drama and intrigue as well as comedy and light-hearted fun, spanning the full gamut of the human experience (and when you add in my facination with Japan in general), I highly doubt that I will stop loving anime any time soon, if EVAR!!

Me I can still see my self like it but I not as much as I do now. I think the real world will take over. hell in ten years I be out of collage and may have a family. If that happens I would have to put up a lot of my anime because I do not think little kids should see some of the stuff I own. Hell last time I had some of my couson from my dads side of the family I got in a agrement with one of my anuts trying to explain why I would not my cousons (a about 5-6 kid under the age of 10) see some of my dvds. I was not letting see Armitage, Shamanic Princess and Love hina. And in ten years I would have my own kids to worry about and for the same reason I could not watch a lot of my anime any more so a lot of my mangas (battle angel, tenchi, love hina, and oh my goddess) would prouble put in books and put away so my kids could not see them. I would still like anime but just not as much as now. But that just me
If humans don't want me....
Then why'd they create me?

Hell, I'd show my kids Eva when they turn 7.

"Daddy, why is the robot bleeding?"

"Because it's not really a robot, it's actually a synthetic organism created from reverse-engineered Angel biology..."

"What does that mean"

*sigh* "It's a big monster"

"Oh. Why is the red-haired girl so mean?"

"Because her mom went crazy, killed herself, and tried to kill the doll thinking that it was the girl"

"But why'd that make the girl so mean?"

"I don't know"

"What's that white stuff in Shinji's hand?"

"Umm... uh..."

Actually, on second thought, maybe I should wait until they're older.

Like Chaos, I have always loved animation. My interests changed a bit of course but anime is animation and offers a wide variety of subjects.

I have seen some 3D style CG anime that was not from a video game and I wasn't too impressed. If that is the future then I probably will just revisit my dvds for decades..that is until dvd is like 8 track and children mock me for not updating to the hologram unit. I like my animation solid you darn kids! :D
