Region 2

I no that most japanese DVDs are region 2 and that they only play on DVD players set for region 2 but I am planning on buying a japanese vhs video and it said it was region 2. I was wondering if it will play on any vcr or does it need to be a region 2 vcr? I appreciate any help.

Nah, it should play fine. So long as it's NTSC (US, Japan, some other countries) broadcast format. There aren't region codes for VHS tapes or players, to my knowledge.

Im 100 percent sure it should work if it really is a Japanese tape.
