Anime Milwaukee 2008

Alright, you guys said you wanted a con in Wisconsin...so here's a con.

This is technically Anime Milwaukee's second year...but last year the name was different, and it just happened to be on the weekend that we had a hueg liek xbox blizzard that ended up cancelling classes.

Anime Milwaukee will be held from February 29 - March 2 2008 in the Union building of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus

I'm the webmaster (if I can be called a web 'master' that is) for the convention website...which isn't quite up yet.
I'm also the amv contest coordinator (I'll be making a post in amv contests as soon as I have the website up and running)

we have a full list of planned events, it would take too much time to list everything in detail...but here's a glimpse of what will be going on:

Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF)

Wait, who? I'm confused as to what the EFF is doing at an anime con.

To the best of my knowledge, the EFF will be sending a representative to speak in at least one panel.

If memory serves, the panel is "Downloading and Rights"
I'll ask the con coordinators for more info

pre-registration has ended, but you can still get badges at the door.

As I get more information I'll be adding (or in the case of pre-registration buttons, removing) things to the site, so be sure to check back every now and again.

Alright, the guest list seems to have stabilized.
Details for the strategic gaming club's activites, anime screening, and video game tournaments have come in
dealers room and artist's alley have filled up

I hope to see some of you guys there, you know where to find me (amv contest on Friday)
