Also for those that didn't get the e-mail
1) Video #6 has two glitches introduced by a bug in the video conversion process. They are each a single frame of smeared blues and reds during a flashy section at about 1:03 and 2:23 in the video. These were not in the original video, and should be ignored for judging. (As an aside, if anyone happens to know where these specific glitches come from, we'd appreciate help in getting rid of them. They seem determined to stick around.)
2) Video 15 is an out-of-date copy that suffered an unusual encode distortion and slightly threw off the timing of the video. We are working on getting a corrected copy of the video up on the vat website. From there you can download the video so it can be properly judged. Instructions for where to look and how to download will follow once the file is ready.
3) Video #17 suffered a de-synch between audio and video of about a half-a-second. As this affects the entire video, we will be providing a corrected copy on the vat website, same as with #15.
4) There is NO VIDEO #33. The contestant withdrew the video from the contest after the ordering and encoding had begun, meaning we couldn't go back and fill in the gap.
5) Due to an encoding error, video 36 may not properly play on all equipment. This manifests as a slight "stutter" in the video feed every eight seconds or so, and is a known problem when playing in a PS2. Playing in an ordinary Sony DVD player apparently corrects the problem. We will make available a properly encoded version for anyone unable to get the video to play properly.
6) The audio for video 37 is mistakenly in mono. A stereo version is the version that will be played at AWA, and the video on the disc should be considered in that light.

i guess I'll continue the trend.
4) Video #18 was somehow detected by tmpeg with the field interlacing reversed, hence the fields have been reversed for the entire duration of that video. Again, as this is an error on our part that affects the entire video, we'll be making that one available online as well.

The technical issues are regrettable. Also chapter stops would have been nice. :/
I was a little underwhelmed by the videos when I first went through the discs. However, I've found myself playing many of them in the background now. I'm especially fond of the videos that used old school anime.
My favourite of the bunch was... well let's just let the notes do the talking:
