Ok, first I am not the contest coordinator. I am posting the rules up on the forum though because the coordinator of the contest is extremely busy and he doesn't have time. So here are the rules below.


Music Video Contest


So, you fancy yourself an editor, eh? Spent countless hours cuing up video and synching sound for the minimal return of personal satisfaction? Well, here's your hour of glory. AnimeIowa 2007 proudly presents its annual MUSIC VIDEO CONTEST! Go head to head with other closet Eisensteins and see whose skills reign supreme!



The Rules

1. Contestants may enter as many videos as they like. We reserve the later right to limit the number of entries screened by a contestant in order to give the most people a chance to have their work shown.

2. Entry may not exceed 5-6 minutes in length.

3. All entrys must be able to be read by VLC media player.

4. NO HENTAI!!

5. If we receive more entries than time permits us to show, we will whittle it down to what we think are the best and screen those.

6. Judging for the entrys will be a panel, and will be audience choice. Yet to be determined prizes will be awarded to the entries deemed worthy by judging.

7. All entrants must be the original authors of the videos we screen. That is to say that they must be the ones that edited the music and anime together into the video.

8. Anything sent in will be considered AnimeIowa property unless specifically noted that sender wishes to keep the CD. We cannot ship the CD back to you. You must be at the convention to re-claim it. AnimeIowa is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged CD's. If you wish to claim your CD after the contest, be sure to clearly label the CD with your name.

9. All entries must be received by July 31st.

10. If we do not receive enough entries we’ll subject you to a Fangirl fight over Yaoi.
