Metrocon '07 - July 6-8

Post by Unlimited Rice » Wed Jun 13, 2007 10:02 pm

So yeah, I like how we're already talking about AFO, but we needa have a thread for another Florida con that's occuring before AFO, which would be Metrocon(Tampa, FL.).

So who's going? Who entered the AMV contest?

Metrocon was my first convention and I've been to it every year since. And this year is actually the first time I successfully entered an AMV :)

I might be there - it depends on whether or not my sister's friend manages to get over here by like, the Thursday night prior to the convention. If she doesn't, I'll be there. Didn't enter anything into the AMV contest, though - I didn't even think of it till today (because I didn't know I might be going until today), and it closed on the 9th. Besides, I still need to tweak things in the only video I possibly could submit.

Technically this would be my first anime-only convention - before this I went to Megacon in '04 and entered the AMV contest there.

My lack of money and unfound hate for the creator of the con made me skip.

Which is interesting since I got invite for a press pass again.

Someone videotape the live chess match, because I want to see that. xP

My roommate went and she said the second half of the chess battle was boring?
