Newbie needs help...

Post by Lady Shinsei » Wed May 23, 2007 12:55 am

OKay. I am desperate to attempt making a vid. I have plenty of awesome techno,
J-Pop, House, Eurohouse, and Pop music to use for making vids. Problem is, not
much anime to use. All I've got is Naruto, Eden's Bowy, and the first episodes of a
few other various anime (like Bleach and Full Moon Wo Sagashite). Yeah, not much.

What's a good program to use for making a vid, so I can download/buy it?

And with what I listed befor, anyone got some interesting ideas for my first vid?!

If possible though, I wouldn't suggest using Windows Movie Maker o.O

Well, I guess WMM is good for beginners who want to get the basic concept of editing, but I really wouldn't suggest using it because it has many flaws. It crashes. A LOT. It has a bad list of effects to choose from, and nothing really special about it. Try free trials of Adobe Premiere, or Vegas, or Magix, and see how you like them before actually making a committment to buy them. See which one works best for you. I for one use Vegas 6.0, but that's just my preference, I prefer it over Preimiere. Others are the opposite.

Personally I would never ask a question like that. Maybe song suggestions for an idea you already have, but never ask someone to pitch an idea for you. If you didn't come up with the idea yourself, chances are you won't care as much about completing it well and it will show. You need to use an idea that came to you naturally. Just my opinion though.

Yeah, I think maybe I will try to get some good free downloads to check out.

Also, Ozzie, you're right about my comment being a bit off. I should've stated that
I would indeed like some good suggestions of what music to use for the vid. But
I've actually got 3 ideas already right now to use (one of which involves a majorly
psychadelic Beatles' song and clips from the first episode of "Arjuna"; that could
actually work pretty well as a beginning vid, and be a show of my artistic side).
