For techno i could suggest "Marcel Woods" ,or you could use some songs of "Daft Punk" , though last one is a bit more into House. "Deep Dish" has some good Techno too. Or you could use one o' my favs "Wesbam & Love Generation - United States Of Love" (but this one's counting as Techno-Deep House) . Or few more Electro-Techno songs :

Audio Bullys - Shot You Down (Bang Bang)
Aphrodite - Sumeer Breeze
Dj Garga (he has lot's of good techno mixes)
Tocadisco (Dj Tocadisco or AC/OT) all of these names are of same woman dj.
Eurythmics
Roy Gates
Smash TV - Yellow Asteroids (A1 sided original beat here and there mix) (this one is really somethin' good) other their songs are good as well.

as for rock,i may suggest only popular artists ^.^

if you want techno / roman and some with up and down beats, check out e nomine, either their songs mitternacht, vater unser, exitus or hexenjagd.

for more of rock (+techno) check out turmion kätilöt (you can download their audio from their website (www.turmionkatilot.com/6) if i remember right. if you want the full version of "teurastaja" (which is as 1 min sample in their site) search google "newgrounds teurastaja". i recommend downloading verta ja lihaa / teurastaja.
