Ok, this video isnt an amv but it's in the same spirit as amvs, a awsome piece of work created by amatures with items and programs any person can buy. it's called RvD2: Ryan vs. Dorkman 2 and can be found on y o u t u b e as well as a bunch of other places but ytube is the easiest to view (amazingly the quality of the video is actually really nice). i was just blown away by the creativity of these two guys. The choreography is better than in the movies, the special effects were amazing for non professionals and to top it all off, these guys made this movie with no special training or coaching in sword fighting/martial arts and many of the effects (including the lightsabres) were done simply with adobe after effects (I'm definitly getting that program after seeing this).
I love amvs increadibly but honestly, no amv can even come close to touching the creativity and effort put into this video, George Lucas should have hired these guys to produce all of his light sabre fights by themselves, i'm a lot more impressed with their work than with any of the fights in the movies.
Just making this post to aplaud this awsome video
This puts us all to shame

Seen it. You're overrating both the choreography and the creativity inherent in the work. Most of it is just special effects work, where the major bottleneck is simply the amount of time people are willing to throw at it. That's what the video in question mainly reflects: the number of people and production time involved.
Not that any of that makes it topical here. Locked as OT.
