cjhayes85: eh?
farl0: i thought it was a codec issue
farl0: so i uninstalled all my codecs
farl0: and reinstalled them back
farl0: every video plays fine
farl0: except the ones ive created
cjhayes85: O.o
cjhayes85: The hell?
farl0: i know
cjhayes85: Has your computer acquired tastes?
cjhayes85: I mean
cjhayes85: Uh
farl0: FUCKING OUCH
cjhayes85: It's all <3
cjhayes85: That's seriously weird though
cjhayes85: Is this the same computer you made them on?
farl0: i cant seem to figure it out
farl0: yeah, mostly
cjhayes85: hmm
cjhayes85: Even still, that makes no sense
cjhayes85: Have you deleted them, and downloaded them?
farl0: i can go to the folder with your videos and they play fine
farl0: yeah i tried redownloading
cjhayes85: And I assume no one else has problems playing your videos
farl0: not that i know of
farl0: i thought it could possibly be a folder access issue
farl0: so i downloaded one to the desktop and still didnt work
cjhayes85: Weird
farl0: itll play my old old video but nothing newer
farl0: old old videos*
farl0: but it only plays a few of them too
cjhayes85: I dunno man, that's just weird
cjhayes85: Make a topic at AMV

Uhm... I have nearly the same problems.
It comes up because DivX 6.0 screwed up a few of my XviD videos. These videos were compressed and rendered in Ulead Video Studio (plz don´t aks my why I do such silly things). I can´t playback them without heavy errors (no video, screwed audio) in a standart player (exception: VLC Player).
You can avoid this problem when you finaly compress your amv in VirtualDubMod (with XviD or whatever).
Export out of your studio only in looseless codecs such as Huffy, Lagarith or RGB-Uncompressed.

so out of frustration, i uninstalled divx.

then i used registry editor to remove everything from divx networks(i backed up my registry before incase i made a huge error)

i did NOT re-install divx, however ffdshow is still on my pc so it will render fine.

my videos are now playing fine, i guess divx was just polluting my computer.
