Suggestion for a New Bracket Code

I don't know if this is even possible to write code for, but it's something that would work like this:

The user types:

And the following appears in the post:

Best of Show (or whatever text)
- Euphoria
  Anime: RahXephon (TV)
  Song: Must Be Dreaming
  Artist: Frou Frou
  Creator: Koopiskeva
  Studio: Random Variable Productions

The exact formatting could be whatever is deemed appropriate. The main thing being the extraction of fields from the database using the vid's ID number.

Well, that all depends on how the site's set up. If it's been hacked together good luck, but with a proper layout already in place it should be a breeze.

Done. No closing tag required. "vidID" is case-insensitive so "vidid" works. Here are some examples.

A good effort, but so far it seems to fail with.... something. It randomly works, and the last 20 minutes spent trying to identify a pattern of what fails has produced nothing useful.

Ok, this seems to work ONLY IF the editor is part of a studio.
