ripping dvd's?

yeah, i followed the guide from here, but it says to download dvd decryptter, which is apparently owned by some other company now and is unavailable for download. what else can i use?

Don't confuse DVD Decrypter with the similarly named DVDFab Decrypter (which does the same basic thing). And yes, the DVD Decrypter site is no more. If you download the AMVapp, it contains an older version of DVD Decrypter (3.5.2.0, iirc).
