Help with entering new video

I'm doing exactly what it says here on:

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... yer/up.htm but when o get to the part where I plug in the FTP url...nothing happens. I just get to an index. Can anyone help me with this?

nevermind...I fixed it....but now its taking an hour to upload the file. Its stuck on 10 seconds...and won't move forward
