Trouble Uploading Video!

I've tried this a dozen times, but still can't get it to work! Whenever I upload a video the size shrinks from 10,766,219 bytes to 2,786,845 bytes, making the Video play for like a second. xp What I do when I upload it is add the link to "My Network Places", type in the Username and Password, and copy and paste the Video File on the page. I've looked around for help, but can't find any, so I'm posting here. Please let me know if I'm not making sense or if there's somthing I need to do. Thanks!
