A little trouble converting

hi. im trying to convert a .mov file to a .wmv file. the program i usally use to convert videos is Widows Encoder 9. but, windows endcoder 9 will not convert the quicktime .mov file.
if there are any programs out there (ones that i dont have to pay for cause im broke

) it wouldbe much a appriciated if you guys would clue me in.
or if you know the best way to convert a .mov file to .wmv file please let me know.
