Can someone tell me how to compress or uncompress .avi files in VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.2. If u cant explain it well. you could give me a link to a website where it shows step by step.

Knowing WHY you want to do something is a pretty big help. As mentioned, if you start with a crappy quality video and save it as an uncompressed rgb, Huffyuv, lagarith, or any other lossless type format you'll have a very large, crappy video.
