This type of music...

Post by Lone Wolf » Wed Dec 04, 2002 11:27 pm

I enjoy songs like Stone Sour's "Bother" and Enigma's "Gravity of Love" which I've seen in several good AMV's posted here. I really like Gravity of Love's light techno beat with the choir singing to go along with it. What can I say besides I have a soft spot for these kinds of songs (songs played in minor chords instead of major / songs that make you want to close your eyes for a bit and dream). I'm sure I'm not the only one here that has that same soft spot.

Anyway, if you know of songs like these, please post the song name and who performs it. Thank you.

I second that.
A real enchanting song I know is called "Wiccan Dance" but I don't remember the band it was from. But if you search for it a while, you will find it...

Peace out,

Apart from Loreena McKennit's stuff, I don't know much - wish I did. That's one of those types that I've heard a bit of and always meant to find out more about, but haven't yet.

So I'll listen to everyone else's suggestions. ;)

Delerium

I'm not recommending their pre-1994 work, which would include recent re-releases like "Euphoric" and "Archives". Before the 1994 cd called "Semantic Spaces", they were into the industrial/goth scene. But it's their current trance-like music that they are popular for now; e.g. the McLachlan piece called "Silence" (Tiesto remix).

You'd also probably really like E.S. Posthumus's stuff. You could probably find a few of his songs on Kazaa or WinMX. Unfortunately, you can only get his CD of his website (www.esposthumus.com).

If you've heard the music in trailers for Spiderman, Planet of the Apes, Minority Report ect. Those are all samples from his music.
