can move audio clips but not video?

Post by Jasta85 » Sat Jul 08, 2006 4:12 pm

ok, im working on my first amv and am using windows movie maker. i have several clips done just how i want them but on the timeline i cant seem to move the video clips to where i want them. i can move audio clips just fine but the only way i have been able to make sure that a video scenes are in sinc with the sound is by making a random title clip just before it and extending that so that the video and audio clips match up.

there has to be a way to move video clips around indipendently on the timeline but i cant find anything relating to that anywhere, help please?

I don't think it's possible.

Your best bet is to make a black clip you can reuse as space filler. Either take a few black frames from your anime source and 'decrease speed by half' till it's long enough, or try a solid-color picture file. It's good to have a few solid clips available, anyway, for longer fades.

If you want freedom to move clips around the timeline, you'll need to switch to a different editing program. There's a sticky list full of them at the top of this section.
