Magix Movie Edit Pro 11 and AVS scripts, can they work?

Post by Ayanefan » Tue Jul 04, 2006 7:53 am

Premiere is really peeving me off! I'm considering moving off of it now. Does any know if Magix MEP 11 will run AVS scripts directly as Premiere does with the AVS plugin?

I've got all the goodies loaded (ffdshow, AVISynth etc etc etc) already and can't seem to find the function. Although I am using the web e-version right now.

Checked around and doesn't seem that it can.

Ayanefan.

EXCELLENT! I saw that post this morning and all I saw was " scritch scritch scritch AVISynth scritch ffdshow scritch...."

Now that I read the whole thing it makes sense (and you wrote the thing too!).

Thank you! I'll try this out.

Well, kinda, but it causes really bad crashes when I apply preprocess filters to the AVS script (mftoon, telecide,decimate,edeen...) Comes up well and then will get an error with a ntdll.dll problem then I need to close.

If I use it without the scripting it works fine.

I used to use MakeAVIS with Magix but I got tired of the lag when moving the timeline and scrubbing through entire episodes got annoying. Especially if the AVS script is anything more complicated than just loading the D2V file. Cropping, resizing and especially cleaning filters slow it down so much. And this is on a Athlon64 X2 3800+ with 2GB of RAM.

Anything other than resizing filters and IVTC should be reserved for later when actually outputting your final export. Comment out (add a # in front) all the filters you don't absolutely need for editing, then when all is done, restore the additional filters and do your export.
