Question About Avatars

Ok, so under the avatars control panel it says your avatar can be no greater than 80x80 and can be no greater than 6 kbs. Yet I'm seeing some members with avatars that are bigger than 6 kbs and I saw one member with an avatar at 100x100. Are those restrictions for only if you upload an avatar from your computer?

80x80 is a restriction for everyone. 6kb is a restriction if you're putting it on the site to be hosted locally.

The people with the big avs are probably newbies who have not read the guides and will not have those avs for very long.

that might be an admin or mod that had that one.
it wont let you upload anything bigger the 80 x 80
