I'm tyring to add words into my AMV, but for some reason, it's being applied to the entire AMV, does anyone know how i can limit it to just a clip?

What do you mean?

1.File > New > Title
2.Create the title
3.Close the title creation window, select yes and save the title somewhere
4.If it doesn't appear on the bin, import it
5.drag it over the timeline where you want it to be

why is it spreading across the whole video?

You use a Title like any image. The image importing settings might be set to something like 3000-4000 frames, which is almost 3 minutes. you should lower the number to something closer to 24 or less (assuming you are working with 24FPS) so every image will be 1 second.

If I remember correctly it should be somewhere in prefrences or project settings.
