PS The other threads are at least 3 years old and therefore are unreliable.
There was a link for a Kingdom Hearts Ripper but the program didnt seem to work, ill post the URL just incase someone has figured it out on how to make it work.

Wow, I wish you had been around when there were 20 billion threads asking for FFX rippers. None of the existing ones worked since Square fiddled with the bits and made it so the videos couldn't be found with rippers at the time.DJ_Izumi wrote:And the Playstation 2 hasn't changed in six years, genious.deanaugust1 wrote:PS The other threads are at least 3 years old and therefore are unreliable.
That said, deanaugust1 should still try the existing PS2 rippers.

They aren't all three years old, because I just responded to like three of them that have been made since the release of Kingdom Hearts II.deanaugust1 wrote:yeah but none of those are answered which is no help considering that im looking for these answers

The only extractintg program there is is for Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, which wasn't released outside Japan.

I found that to be a kind of a confusing question. Anyways, to be more specific, as far as the actual intro, ending, and secret ending are concerned, those can definately be ripped. But as far as "cut scenes" go, those must be captured. There's absolutely no other way to get them from the game. fmv's and cut scenes are two different things; Especially in KH.deanaugust1 wrote:Does anyone know how i can rip the FMV's (cut-scenes) of Kingdom Hearts straight off the disc (Not Kingdom Hearts 2) without a Capture card etc

If those FMVs can "definitely be ripped" then please, enlighten me on how it's done.
Oh, and actually, some in-game cutscenes can be ripped (on KH2 atleast), because Square Enix is strange.

well, it's not something that's easilly done. Believe me. I forgot exactly what it involves, but you'd have to be able to search the entire KH iso's raw data and pin-point the start and end positions of the mpeg-2 streams. From there, it's a matter of creating an application that can extract it. That's how people are able to create these various different ripping applications for mainly SE's games. SE can be pretty slick at hiding those fmv's.devilmaykickass wrote:If those FMVs can "definitely be ripped" then please, enlighten me on how it's done.
Anyways, I know *some* of the cut scenes during KH2 can be ripped, but I was only reffering to KH1 and KH1 alone. sorry for the misunderstanding.
