download number discrepancies

Post by jubjub2 » Mon Apr 24, 2006 1:53 am

I have no idea why it's happening, but recently, my download numbers on the 'Local Bandwidth Used" page are going down (one was at 1035, and is now at 932 - but the local download reads 969) as time goes on. I thought it was just one video in particular, but I am noticing it on a couple of them now. I started seeing this after the debug of the forums last week or so.

Thanks!

Well, it might be related, but I'm not sure why numbers would decrease as the video ages.

One of my videos (in the Local Bandwidth) was at 1035 last month. Currently, it is at 932. So I am having downloads disappear from that number. The local download number is at 964. As the local downloads number increases, the downloads on the bandwidth used decreases.

Bishounen Moments - It's Raining Men (2005-04-14) [hits: 2840] [ops: 5] [stars: 850] [star avg: 3.58] LOCAL (964)

Video # DL Bandwidth
Bishounen Moments - It's Raining Men 932 47.9 GiB

The #DL was at 1035 about a month ago.

Sharp Dressed Man - Gai Sensei and Rock Lee 448 23.4 GiB

This number was 452 last night.

Sharp Dressed Man - Gai Sensei and Rock Lee (2004-08-01) [hits: 1082] [ops: 5] [stars: 387] [star avg: 3.66] LOCAL (444)

Granted, these are older vids and all, but they are the first ones I notice when I check the stats page.

My total number of downloads for the month doesn't seem to be affected by this, so it must be one little pesky bug.

I'll quote from my last post in this thread:
And the lower number for the third is because it's meanwhile older than one year, so the first downloads aren't counted anymore.
I think that's the same that happens to your vids. The downloads for the bandwith show only the last year.

But that doesn't explain my the numbers continue to drop by 10 each time the video is downloaded, or why the other vids I have that are more than a year old have not shown any changes.

I'm just curious is all. ;)
