A-KON 17 Video Events 2-week Deadline Notice (update)
Submissions for all events are due by: Saturday, April 15th, 2006.
As of this writing, the current status on entries is:
Amateur Anime Music Video Contest: 10 Accepted, 21 Pending = 31 Total
Experts Anime Music Video Contest: 3 Pending = 3 Total
Anime-inspired Fanworks Video Contest: 4 Accepted, 3 Pending = 7 Total
"H" Anime Music Video Contest: 2 Pending = 2 Total
Anime Music Video Showcase: 3 Accepted, 7 Pending = 10 Total
UPDATE:
Those of you who were unsure about entering the Experts category because of past winnings at conventions you felt was not "nationally recognized", I talked to Chris, our coordinator, and he is pretty much letting anyone who has prior winning(s) at any convention to enter.
Also, awards like Fan-Favorite are considered a "nationally recognized award" so you would be eligible.
If you already entered and would like your video entry moved to the Experts Category, please contact The Video Events Team and ask that they do that for you.

Those of you who were unsure about entering the Experts category because of past winnings at conventions you felt was not "nationally recognized", I would advise you to contact Chris, the Event Coordinator, to see about moving your video into the Experts Contest. Use either the Feedback Form on the site or through Email.
I will also inform him about these inquiries and see if it is possible for them to do that with anyone who asks.
