Using Downloaded Footage

Post by O Sliggity Slice » Thu Mar 02, 2006 12:39 am

I've got a project on the horizon, but I can't find the footage on DVD for the life of me. The avi's I downloaded of it have subtitles, which I don't exactly know how to get rid of either.

I know its a bad move to do so, but is there a way I can use my downloaded footage in an AMV? It's very clear and of good quality.

im supposed to tell you "no you shouldn't do it"

while, many many editors do use it, i do strongly encourage you to use DVD sources.

However if you absolutely can not get DVD sources, just know that many editors do use downloaded footage, just find ways around it

I don't know if I'd really consider just putting a clip or two with a song without any actual editing editing.
