Premiere Pro 1.5, Jaggies and Artifacts at top video

Post by Ayanefan » Wed Mar 01, 2006 1:01 pm

Hey all, this probably has been addressed but I'd like to check with you again:
System:
Premiere Pro 1.5
Export to AVI
Huffy 2.1.1
AMV Rendered file size 1.8gb

AMV is 720x480
Source - DVD 720x480, Photoshop PSD images.

Now I do believe I have all the proper settings for the export to AVI as I have checked with another AMV Member, my options are now identical to hers except for the Image is set to NTSC 0.9 instead of Square Pixel 1.0. She has Huffy 2.2.

When exported to AVI, I check the video in Windows Media Player and there are greenish lines (Flashing once in a while at the top or the bottom... about 20% of the video). This also shows up in VirtualDub too. Lines look like arifacts and jaggies.
Has anyone seen this and fixed this? I'm not sure if I should crop the top or bottom of the image, I may lose too much screen.

This is in the raw AVI, even if compressed with DivX, these lines will still be there.

Thanks in advance.

Jacques.

Try exporting your amv from premiere with "no compressor" instead of huffyuv and see if that helps.

Thanks Zarxrax, I will do this. I was thinking of doing that too but thought the quality would not be there.
BTW: My daughters love your Hello Kitty video and I can't get enough of Doujin Addiction... but got me into trouble at work.

WORKED PERFECTLY! No jaggies and the file was a beautiful 7.5gb... woohoo. Thanks again!

After passing it through DivX, came down to a respectable 48mb.
