Ulead video editor 8.0 -cutting by scene
Does anyone now how to cut videos by scene?

Yeah, it can be pretty choppy, and I'm using Video Studio 9.
Best thing I've found to do is to render rough drafts as you go along to see how it all fits together. The other thing I've noticed is that the more clips you try to play back, the choppier it gets (especially if you have effects in there). What I do is only look at small sections at a time to make sure I have the timing right. If I'm interested in viewing the project as a whole, I create a video file and render a rough draft.
