Call Me an idoit

ok I have windows media player,quicktime and real time player and some of the files do not work. the error is the codec was not found. then when it serches for it the message is it can't find it. Any ideas?

I'm sorry, but I have to point this out. The post subject is written "Call Me an idoit". Idiot is spelled wrong and hopefully on purpose. Yeah and you'd be surprised what you can learn from the guides.
