can sigs work like avatars a bit.

Post by x_rex30 » Sun Nov 13, 2005 6:48 am

when I upload a new avatar, it makes all my previous posts have it. with sigs.. it doesn't show up till you post and I've before tried posting and checking out my previous posts and the only one I saw it on was the one post I submitted.. though it was to the mod box.. so I dunno.

Your signature will change on whatever posts were made with the "Attach signature" checkbox marked. If you made posts before you had a signature, then there was no signature to attach, meaning that it won't appear on those posts.

Once you have a sig, updating it will change all your previous posts that had a signature appear on them, and all your future posts (that are made with the box marked) will have it as well. Old posts that didn't have a signature still won't have it.

Thanks for the info. That still means they don't really work the same. Just wish they did.. Oh well no biggie.

Um... they do work the same.

If you want signatures to show up on posts where you unchecked "attach signature," that's a different issue that doesn't have anything to do with changing your sig.
