? about Ringtones for a nokia phone

i look up rigntones all the time and when i see some of them it will have a note that looks like this 4.g1 HOW THE F'K DO YOU GET THE LITTLE PERIOD! iv tryed reading the manuel no help i try messing wit the phone i accidently get it and dont get it again for 10 minutes. can anyone tell me how to get the little period????
