Importing video into Premiere 6.0 problem...
Ok, I have footage of FLCL, I have 6 clips (6 episodes)...all encoded with HuffYUV (and whatever version of huffy that is installed with AMVapp)....all but the 1st clip is able to be imported into premiere....all the others import perfectly...the error messge I get is:
"Unable to open that file.
File uses an unsupported compression format."
But it is encoded with HuffYUV...and I encoded all the other videos the same way, so why wouldn't this be able to import?.....the onky difference between the 1st clip and the others, is that Clip # 1 (the one I'm having trouble with) is around 2x the demensions (512 x 384) of the other videos.....could that be the problem?

yeah, I downloaded it....I can't really capture to my computer, I have enough room on my HD for the vob files, but by then I have no more room my my HD to convert to huffyuv, so I'm forced to download....§Daisuke wrote:okay are you using downloaded episodes or dvd-footage.
Also please be honest. Because sometimes the way that people have encoded subs or raw episodes on the net can mess up your re-encoding to Huffyuvv.

Not if you're using Premiere. Then you can import the vobs directly with an avs script. You'll need about a gig extra to export a huffy from Premiere, but even that can be done directly if necessary.shadowfax16 wrote:yeah, I downloaded it....I can't really capture to my computer, I have enough room on my HD for the vob files, but by then I have no more room my my HD to convert to huffyuv, so I'm forced to download....§Daisuke wrote:okay are you using downloaded episodes or dvd-footage.

Have you tried checking the "Always suggest RGB mode for output" box in the HuffYUV codec options?shadowfax16 wrote:Ok, I have footage of FLCL, I have 6 clips (6 episodes)...all encoded with HuffYUV (and whatever version of huffy that is installed with AMVapp)....all but the 1st clip is able to be imported into premiere....all the others import perfectly...the error messge I get is:

That is always checked.....and how does huffyuv have anything to do with avs. (that was made from a vob file) files?Scintilla wrote:Have you tried checking the "Always suggest RGB mode for output" box in the HuffYUV codec options?shadowfax16 wrote:Ok, I have footage of FLCL, I have 6 clips (6 episodes)...all encoded with HuffYUV (and whatever version of huffy that is installed with AMVapp)....all but the 1st clip is able to be imported into premiere....all the others import perfectly...the error messge I get is:
