Calling all Final Cut Pro Users

Ok,

FCP 5.0

why does it import a 2 hour audio file but when I import a .vob file its onlt 30 min. and I can't seem to change it. and its a 2 hour moive? WTF

Edit. I try to change the time code and it always goes back to 30 min.

This just isnt working. I tried to break the VOB clips apart with MacMPEG2Decoder but it still takes up too much space. What could be a simple way to get anime clip in crispness without the high file space?
