Help with subtitles...

Post by shiroi_tsuki » Tue Jul 26, 2005 12:49 pm

I want to make a Fruits Basket AMV, but all of my episodes have subtitles. Does anyone know how I can take the subtitles out without screwing up my amv with windows movie maker, or where I can find raw episodes? Please help.

the best way to edit without subtitles is to buy the dvds, that way you don't have any subtitles at all. Just rip the dvds to your harddrive and convert them to editable footage with virtual dub

here is a handy guide:

If you can't rip DVDs, you can always do the negative effect. That where there's two black bars. One on the top and one on the bottom. Check out my videos and you will know what I mean by negative effect. I use it to cover up my subtitles all the time. I don't know what software you use, so I don't know if you are able to do this. My video editor is MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 10 and I'm able to do it. Just use two simple pure black pics and move them into the negative effect. And also follow the 1/3 Rule. When you do use the effect, make sure that your clips are in a good position. Ex. If you were to take away the bars and be only left that cropped clip, the clip would still look good. I don't know if this helped, but I tried. ^^;

Thank you. Those helped! I'll try out that negative effect, and I hope it works for me.
