Subtitle Prog.

Post by ForeverZeroo » Fri Jun 03, 2005 10:04 am

Ok I'm trying to make a whole new batch of AMVs. totally HQ picture. I keep running into the same problem. All the anime I download is either subtitled, or not a file type which i can use. lemme stop there for one second to get something out of the way before any one flames me:

Yes. I download anime.
No. I'm not a pirate. I dont sell it.
Yes. I have many anime DVDs.
Yes. I plan on buying the DVDs when i get the money (owns 200+ DVDs)
No. I dont have the money right now, Poor college student who needs food

OK well. now that thats out of the way. Does anyone have a program which can take off subtitles? I know there is one. I've heard of it. It would help me greatly. Please help me out ^_^

how I can save my video file like this?

Post by Tru_Blu » Fri Jun 03, 2005 2:02 pm

Yes there is really one: it's called VirtualDub. You can follow the instructions at http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... efault.htm

As we're talking about removing subtitles with VirtualDub, anyone can explain me how I can save my video file with not only no subtitles but also with less than 1GB of size? Because, when I have removed the subtitles of a file in VirtualDub, when it was being saved, its size was more than 10GB and it had more or less 5 minutes of time!!!!

Thanks, plz reply!

Or you can simple 'Crop' the clips in Premiere.

Make shorter clips, and use HuffYUV or Lagarith to compress them. If you're cutting clips to use, they usually shouldn't be more than 30 seconds long (on average).

If you want to directly edit the entire file, it's best to just get the crop settings with VDub and feed it into the editor with AVISynth (if your editor supports AVISynth). That way you don't take up any space except the size of the original file and the 1 or 2 KB that the script takes up.
