26 episodes in 80 gigs: Can it be done losslessly?

Everything I've tried so far is pushing the file size above 5 gigs each and I only have 80 gigs to work with

. Are there any codecs that are lossless or near lossless that can cut them down to about 3-4 each?

If you're limited on HD space, I would either go:

-Direct AVS editing
-MJPEG editing, swapping them with AVS

Thats pretty handy. I'm using OGM files for my source so I don't know how I'll work this out but I'll figure something out.

Ok so I decided using ffdshow to compress it to wmv9a looked fine. Now I want to run it through avisynth. Its giving me the errror "Avisource: could not locate a decompressor for fourcc ffds". So, uh?

Lagarith typically gets my episodes to around 4gb each.
Make sure you dont save the opening and ending and previews and stuff on every episode, because those eat up a TON of space overall. Also, its unlikely that you really need all 26 episodes. I'd check through some of them and just delete a couple that you think you definately wont need.
