AWA AMV Contest New Address

The AWA AMV contest has a new address to send AMVs to. They have not put up the rest of the rules yet, but they did put the new address in their message board. I do not know if they want people putting it here, so I am just letting you know so that you can go to the site.

All of them- EXPO, Masters, Pro. That is just the address that ALL their AMV entries for the VAT need to be sent to.

I'm just waiting for the rules. I don't wanna be disqualified due to a technicality. It is a dream of mine to have my AMVs played at AWA, which is my absolute favorite anime convention.

The rules are being worked on currently. There are a LOT of changes brewing, but most of them are technical and involve changes in how we're recieving submissions, not what kind of submissions we're taking. The short version is that the otakuvideo site is gone and we're looking at alternates for online submission.

Lots of big changes. Everyone keep your fingers crossed.

(Oh, and this one is for free. If you're mailing in your entries we'd really REALLY prefer that you choose a format other than VHS tape. Capturing to the computer takes an inordinate amount of our time, and the tech awkwardness we're gonna have to deal with this year promises to compiclate EVERYTHING.)

Thanks for letting us know the details.

Don't worry. I will send mine on CD-R. I even asked on the AWA forums if it was ok to send CD-RW, but someone explained to me why CD-R was better.
