New Guide Suggestion.

Post by James Sharp » Sat Apr 23, 2005 1:20 am

I have been thinking lately..(ya its a dangerous thing).. and i have come up with an idea.. maybe if enough people agree.. we can get it rollin.. well my idea is that.. i think there should be a guide. that shows how most of the comonly done advanced amv effects are made. like for example piano keys..
i came to this conclusion because i was looking through the adobe premire pro help site and i had trouble finding anything relating to some of the more advanced effects i see alot in todays amv's.. not only would a guide for these tricks and skills help everyone out.. it would also keep the forums from being inundated with questions about how todays popular vids did there effects. not to mention that having a ever growing library of effects knowlege would give an idea of what has been used and maybe help with inventing new and original concepts for effects and editing.. Well Im just spit balling here.. but hey if you like the idea.. just respond to this post and maybe even throw out a few ideas as well.. if we get a good amount of people respondin.. maybe we can do somthing good.
Close calls are always the most exciting. Coming close is always the most dissapointing.

I believe such how-tos, if they were ever to be made, would go under "User Tips and Tricks" on the <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/">guides page</a> (and of course, there's <a href="http://www.amvwiki.org/index.php/Piano_key">a place</a> for everything at the <a href="http://www.amvwiki.org">AMVwiki</a>!).

Of course, I've heard that many editors don't mind explaining how they created such-and-such an effect, if you give them a polite PM asking.

i'm currently already working on a guide that goes over some "advanced" techniques. most of the concepts are the same, but used in different ways. One of these day's i'll finish it, lol.
